MUN Summer Camp 2026 at CU Boulder

Terms and Conditions of Attendance

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern registration, participation, and conduct for the MUN Summer Camp 2026 at the University of Colorado Boulder ("CU Boulder") operated by The MUN Academy ("Organizer," "we," "us," or "our"). By registering a camper ("Participant," "student") for the program, the parent or legal guardian ("Parent/Guardian," "you") agrees to these Terms on behalf of themselves and the Participant.

1. Program Description

1.1 The MUN Summer Camp 2026 at CU Boulder is an educational Model United Nations (MUN) training program featuring workshops, simulations, lectures, and group activities designed to build debating, public speaking, and diplomacy skills.

1.2 The program includes:

  • Committee simulations and resolution drafting
  • Public speaking and negotiation exercises
  • Team-building and social activities
  • Guest speakers and faculty-led sessions, subject to change without notice.

1.3 The Organizer reserves the right to modify the curriculum, schedule, faculty, and activities in its sole discretion without materially reducing the educational value of the program.

2. Eligibility and Registration

2.1 Participants must meet the age and grade requirements specified on the registration materials for the 2026 camp session.

2.2 Registration is complete only when:

  • An online application form is submitted
  • All required waivers and medical/permission forms are completed
  • The deposit or full payment is received and confirmed.

2.3 The Organizer reserves the right to accept or reject any application at its sole discretion. If an application is not accepted, any fees paid (excluding any stated non‑refundable application fee) will be refunded.

3. Fees, Payment, and Deadlines

3.1 Program fees, including separate pricing for day and residential options (if applicable), will be listed on the official registration page and in confirmation materials for the 2026 session.

3.2 A non‑refundable deposit (amount specified in the registration portal) is due at registration to hold the Participant's place in the program.

3.3 Remaining balances must be paid in full by the published payment deadline for the 2026 session. Failure to pay by the deadline may result in loss of the Participant's spot and forfeiture of the deposit.

3.4 Payment methods and any available payment plans (for example, partial payment at registration and balance due a set number of days before camp) will be communicated in the registration system.

4. Refunds, Cancellations, and Program Changes

4.1 Parent/Guardian cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Organizer at the contact email specified in the registration confirmation.

4.2 Refund policy:

  • Cancellations received on or before the published "full refund" deadline (less the non‑refundable deposit) will be refunded according to the policy in the 2026 registration materials.
  • After that date, fees may be partially refundable, fully non‑refundable, or converted to credit, as stated in the 2026 refund policy.

4.3 In the event that the Organizer or CU Boulder cancels the program or a session before it begins, families will receive your choice of either a refund or a program credit, subject to any stated non‑refundable administrative fees.

4.4 If a program must be modified, shortened, or cancelled after it has begun (e.g., due to health guidelines, facility issues, or safety concerns), the Organizer may provide prorated credits or refunds as specified in the 2026 policy documents; travel or other incidental costs will not be reimbursed.

4.5 The Organizer is not responsible for any non‑refundable travel, accommodation, or other expenses incurred by the Parent/Guardian or Participant.

5. Participant Code of Conduct

5.1 Participants are expected to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and respect toward fellow campers, staff, faculty, and CU Boulder personnel at all times, including in all MUN sessions and social activities.

7.3 The Organizer may implement health and safety requirements (e.g., vaccination, testing, masking, or other protocols) consistent with CU Boulder and public health guidelines. Participation is contingent upon compliance with any such requirements in place at the time of camp.

9. Media, Photography, and Intellectual Property

9.1 By enrolling in the camp, Parent/Guardian grants the Organizer a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to use photographs, video, audio recordings, and written or digital work featuring the Participant for educational, promotional, and marketing purposes in print and online, unless the Parent/Guardian opts out in writing before camp begins.

9.2 Participant work products (e.g., position papers, resolutions, presentations) may be used by the Organizer for training or promotional use, with credit where appropriate; the Participant retains underlying copyright in their original work.

9.3 Parent/Guardian understands that other campers and third parties may also capture images or recordings and that the Organizer cannot fully control private sharing of such content, though it will enforce reasonable conduct expectations.

10.1 Unless expressly stated in program materials, families are responsible for arranging and paying for transportation to and from CU Boulder for the start and end of camp.

10.2 The Organizer is not responsible for Participants prior to formal check‑in or after formal check‑out times, unless expressly stated in writing.

  • Behavior that endangers the safety or well‑being of self or others
  • Significant disruption of the learning environment.

11.2 In the event of dismissal, Parent/Guardian must arrange for immediate pickup of the Participant or pay for emergency travel home, if applicable. No tuition refund is guaranteed in case of dismissal for misconduct.

11.3 The Organizer may involve CU Boulder security or local law enforcement where required by law or where safety demands such involvement.

12. Limitation of Liability and Assumption of Risk

12.1 Participation in the MUN Summer Camp 2026 involves inherent risks associated with group educational activities, travel on or around campus, and use of facilities. Parent/Guardian acknowledges these risks and assumes them on behalf of the Participant.

12.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Organizer and CU Boulder are not liable for any injury, illness, damage, loss, or expense arising from Participation in the program, except where caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
