Foundations Stream

For delegates new to MUN or with 1–3 conferences. Structured guidance, accessible topics, and coaching support built into every session.

Competitive Stream

For experienced delegates (4+ conferences). Multi-actor crises, Iran arbitration, Ukraine peace negotiations, global financial governance — college-conference intensity.

Week 1: Foundations of Diplomacy

Historical Debates, Contemporary Crises, Daily Skill Coaching & Keynote Speakers

Week One builds delegates from the ground up. Each morning opens with either a coaching session or keynote address shared by both streams, followed by parallel committee simulations. Sample topics include:

  • Peace Congress of Westphalia (1648): Sovereignty theory and the origins of the nation-state
  • Ukraine Peace Settlement: Ceasefire, territorial resolution, security guarantees
  • Climate Change — UNFCCC: Paris Agreement, loss & damage, just transition
  • Cuban Missile Crisis — ExComm: Nuclear brinkmanship and crisis decision-making
  • ECOSOC — Child Poverty & SDGs: Development economics and coalition building
  • Lord of the Rings — Council of Elrond: A beloved fantasy-themed simulation

Daily coaching sessions cover public speaking, principled negotiation (BATNA, ZOPA), coalition strategy, and live rebuttal technique.

Week 2: Crisis Simulations

Real-Time Events, Breaking News & Adaptive Leadership

Week Two transforms the conference into a live crisis environment. Events unfold in real-time, injected by the Crisis Director team through breaking news updates. Sample topics include:

  • Rwanda 1994: Early warning, intervention, and the limits of collective security
  • Able Archer 83: Soviet Politburo and nuclear deterrence at the brink
  • Cuban Missile Crisis — Full Multi-Committee: 5 simultaneous committees, encrypted notes required
  • South China Sea — Autonomous Weapons: AI attribution, Chapter VII, de-escalation
  • Black Swan Capstone: Both streams merge for a cascading multi-domain crisis

The Hackathon runs as a parallel track across Week 2, with dedicated build sessions culminating in final presentations on Day 10.

Daily Feedback: Every student receives personalized coaching and one-on-one feedback from expert staff. Certificates of completion for all delegates — letters of commendation for award recipients available for university applications.
